The Mangalica pig breed was once widespread throughout the Carpathian area, particularly in Hungary, but gradually it was pushed aside and replaced, like almost all native breeds, by modern crosses. Our breeding in the upper Viterbo is among the largest in Europe thanks to our work of dissemination.
